Q. How much does the summer music program cost?
A. Band and Orchestra classes - $60 / Operetta Camp - $100

Q. What are the dates of the program?
A. June 2 - June 20

Q. Where do I send my check or money order and enrollment form?
A. Send payment and an enrollment form for each student to: Mesa Public Schools, Accounting, 63 E. Main Street #101, Mesa, Arizona 85201-7422. Your canceled check is your receipt.

Q. Does this activity qualify towards an Arizona Tax Credit?
A. The fee associated with this program MAY be eligible for the extra curricular activity tax credit as allowed by Arizona Revised Statute §43-1089.01.  Tax credit is limited to $200 /single individual or $400/married couple.  Consult with your tax advisor. You will be mailed a tax credit receipt at the end of the year.

Q. Which is the best instrument for a beginning student?
A. All questions regarding choice or availability of instruments should be directed to your child's school band or orchestra teacher.

Q. My child is now in third grade. Is it possible for him/her to participate in the summer program?
A. Enrollment for strings is open to all students who will be in grade 4 or above during the 2008-2009 school year. Enrollment in band is open to all students who will be in grade 5 or above during the 2008-2009 school year. Enrollment in the operetta camp is open to students who will be in grades 3 through 6 during the 2008-2009 school year.

Q. Will I be notified of the starting date and time?
A. NO. Students should report at the date and time desired as listed in the schedule.
