School Improvement: SES & Choice
School Improvement is the status applied to Title I schools that have not met the State's definition of "Adequate Yearly Progress" (AYP) for two consecutive years.
Adequate Yearly Progress is the state's measure of yearly progress toward achieving state academic standards. AYP is the minimum level of improvement that states, school districts, and schools must achieve each year.
SES & Choice are two strategies being used to improve district AYP.
