Teachers are showered with gifts on A Day Made Better

Seven winning teachers received $1,000 worth of classroom supplies from OfficeMax.

Seven extraordinary elementary teachers were caught off guard by OfficeMax reps bearing great gifts on Oct. 4.

Winners' tributes

Winners were nominated by their principals for demonstrating passion for teaching, innovation in the classroom, and dedication to their profession and their students' success.

Each year, the retailer showers 1,000 teachers nationwide with $1 million worth of classroom supplies. OfficeMax reports that teachers spend an average of $1,000 annually to offset school budget shortfalls and to ensure that their students have the resources they need. A Day Made Better helps end teacher-funded classrooms.
