SRP hosts Rhodes Junior High social studies exhibit
Attend the reception and ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m. May 9 in the Salt River Project History Center. The public is invited to view award-winning entries that celebrate Arizona's centennial.
The Salt River Project History Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony and a reception to open the Rhodes Junior High School Centennial License Plate Exhibit.
The event is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 9 in the History Center at the SRP Administration Building, 1521 N. Project Drive, Tempe. The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:45 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.
On Feb. 14, Arizona observed 100 years of statehood. In recognition of the milestone, the Social Studies Club at Rhodes Junior High found a clever way to celebrate. Students created unique, commemorative Arizona license plates and videos depicting the history of Arizona and the Salt River Project.
