MPS provides free summer breakfast, lunch
The Summer Meal Program is offered at 60 sites. It's free for all children 18 and under. Adults may buy breakfast for $1.25 and lunch for $3. Don't go hungry this summer. Enjoy friends, fun and free food!
This summer, Mesa Public Schools offers breakfast and lunch at 45 campuses, and lunch at 12 parks, two recreation centers and a church.
All meals are free for everyone 18 years of age and younger. Adults may buy breakfast for $1.25 and lunch for $3.
Most sites will serve each meal for at least an hour. But the parks will serve for only 20 minutes. See the Summer Meal Program schedule for complete information.
The goal is to ensure that youngsters continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.
Summer food service is a U.S. Department of Agriculture child nutrition program administered locally by the district's Food and Nutrition Department. The free meals meet federal nutrition guidelines. For more information, visit the school district's Food and Nutrition website.
