General Election - Nov. 2

Mesa Public Schools voters will elect two Governing Board members in the Nov. 2 General Election. The district's five-member board serves without pay for a four-year term.

The field of candidates includes incumbents Michael Hughes and David Lane, and newcomers Merrianne Geisdorf and Michelle Udall. School board elections are coordinated by the Maricopa County Superintendent of Schools.

Candidate information is featured in the district's staff newsletter, Mesa Agenda. The publication includes the candidate's responses to survey questions and provides a link to their websites. 

All registered voters within the Mesa Public Schools boundaries, including the Chandler area of the district, will be eligible to vote for the Governing Board candidates. Voter registration for the General Election closed on Oct. 4.

Early voting is underway and will continue through Oct. 22. The polls will be open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
