school counselors

The Mesa Public Schools Elementary and Junior High School Counselors are an integral part of the schools' total educational program. Each counselor implements a Comprehensive Competency Based Guidance (CCBG) program. The program includes active involvement and support of students, parents, teachers and administrators. The Competency Based Guidance program promotes knowledge, attitudes, and skills in problem solving, goal setting, self-esteem, and educational/occupational decision-making.

Counselors are an integral part of a school's mission and the overall district goal to help all children succeed in school and life.
