Using Arizona State University Library:

Read these directions before using Arizona State Library databases.

  1. After selecting the link for AZ State Library databases, you will be connected to the Arizona State Library website.
  2. Select State Residents Online Info.
  3. You will be connected to a SEARCH screen. Do NOT USE THIS SEARCH method.
  4. Select Advanced Search.
  5. Enter your zip code where indicated.
  6. You will be see another set of search boxes. Do NOT use this search method.
  7. Scroll past the search boxes to view the list of databases. Choose the database you wish to use.
  8. Highly recommended databases include:

    EBSCO Novelist
    ProQuest SIRS Knowledge Source
    Gale: Literature Resource Center
    Gale: Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
    Gale: Science Resource Center
    First Search: World Almanac
    Psychology Today

To earn extra credit, type a one-page summary based on listening/reading any of the following "stories"

  1. In the box marked search for
    type the manufacturer’s name and the product
  2. Use EMD as the manufacturer of 95% ethanol
  3. In the next screen, locate the chemical and click on it
  4. In the next screen, click on the MSDS button that is adjacent to the product code that matched the one listed below
  5. Read the document for the information you need
