For your convenience, you may complete your registration forms in advance.

Bring them to school with your child's birth certificate, immunization record and proof of residence when you visit with us to complete the process.

It's a good idea to call the school and check for office hours before you go.

The best choices for your child

PreschoolRegistration is ongoing for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds through the district's Community Education Department. We offer a wide range of free and tuition-based programs in half-day, full-day and extended-day settings. Count on us to enhance your child's school-readiness skills.

Kindergarten — We provide free full-day kindergarten for children who will be 5 years old before Sept. 1. Half-day kindergartners are also welcome at our elementary schools. In MPS, parents have several young-learner options for children who will turn 5 between Sept. 1 and Dec. 31.

* In some neighborhood elementary schools, space may not be available at particular grade levels for new students who live within the attendance area. They will be transported to the closest school with available space.
