Fall PBIS Classes Have Been Cancelled

Sorry to inform you that the fall classes, that review and explain one of the district’s Student Support Systems called Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), have been cancelled.  Both classes will again be offered in the Spring.  These Parent University workshops are designed to provide you with an overview of Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and what it looks like in Mesa Public Schools. Parents will learn about the school-wide practices being used to support students’ social emotional learning and positive behavior. They also highlight the PBIS philosophy of: PBIS is not for students, PBIS is for ADULTS, Problem behavior can be reduced by simply reinforcing appropriate behavior, Behavior is learned, functional, contextual and human, and Behavior expectations must be taught in the same way teachers would address any skill deficit. You can register for either of these classes at our website www.mpsaz.org/parentu or call 480-472-0371.  Each class information is below
