I am a native of Arizona. I grew up in Mesa and attended Mesa schools. I graduated from Mountain View High School. (Go Toros!) I attended ASU and received my teaching degree & ESL endorsement from Ottawa University. I have a Master's Degree from NAU in Multicultural Education.
I grew up loving to be around children. During college I worked at the YMCA as an afterschool care coordinator and also taught dance to elementary aged children. This led to me into the teaching field. Now I have been teaching in Mesa for almost 23 years. I began my teaching career at Longfellow Elementary. I then transferred to Patterson, where I have been for the last 17 years. I loved teaching in the primary grades (1st and 2nd grade) now I'm so excited to embark on my newest adventure, teaching 6th grade!
I am married and have 2 children who attended Mesa schools. I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the beach. I enjoy listening to music, dancing, shopping and reading. I hope to one day travel the world with my husband. I would love to see famous pieces of art and natural history and visit exotic beaches. I also am extremely excited to watch my own children grow up, have careers, and have families of their own one day!
