Here I am...

I am a native to Arizona.  I married my high school sweetheart, Gordon, after I got my Bachelor's Degree from Arizona State University in Early Childhood Education.  We have been married for over sixteen years now.  We adopted Gordon's little sister and brother when they were 15 and 13.  (Jumping into raising teenagers...that was an adventure!)  We also have two energetic children of our own, William and Connor.

As a family we like to go out and explore as much as possible.  If I get a second of freetime to myself, I enjoy reading.

While raising four children, I have gotten my Early Childhood and English as a Second Language Endorsements.  I earned my Montessori 6-9 certificate.  I also completed my Master's Degree in Montessori Education.  I have completed my Gifted and Talented Endorsement.

I have been teaching since 2001.  My first three years of teaching were in a English as a Second Language classroom.  Twelve years ago, I started the Montessori program at Mendoza before it moved over to Barbara Bush Elementary.  Now I am excited to be a Montessori teacher at Pomeroy Elementary.  Last year, I was asked to assist in teaching the local Montessori training program.  I taught Geometry and Geography to Montessori teachers.  It was exciting and nerve racking to be teaching adults, but I loved the new adventure.
