Hello and welcome to another fantastic year at Pomeroy! I am excited to be teaching Fourth Grade Literature and Social Studies! It will be an amazing year for all of us to learn and grow together!
This will be my eighth year at Pomeroy. I have taught both first and second grades, and I am delighted to be in Fourth Grade again this year. I firmly believe that all children are capable of succeeding, and that each child should have the opportunity to grow and learn in the way that works best for them, in a safe and supportive environment.
I received my Bachelor's degree from ASU, and my Master's degree from GCU. I believe in lifelong learning and continue to take classes to broaden my knowledge.
I have lived in the Phoenix area since I was a child and in Mesa (in the same house) since 1997. My husband and I have three children, Zack, Carlie, and Ian. Zack is married to Abby and they have a precious son named Theo, Carlie is attending MCC, and Ian attends Arizona State University. We have two desert tortoises (one sleeps in the house) and a Labradoodle puppy named Macy. I enjoy road trips, music, reading, and spending time with family.
This year will be a big year for our Fourth Graders! They will dive deep into reading comprehension, fractions, Arizona Studies, and so much more! This year fourth grade students will benefit from three teachers as we will be rotating classes. They will also have the opportunity to sign up for Orchestra, which I highly recommend.
Communication with parents is a very important piece of education. Together as a team we will ensure your child's success. I use Class Dojo primarily for communication with parents. Please feel free to call me anytime at 480-474-3728 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org . I will get back to you as soon as I am able to. For emergencies, always call the office at 480-474-3700 as this is by far the quickest way to get in touch.
Thank you so much for your continued support!
