Office Hours: 7:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
School Hours: 8:30 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
AM Kindergarten: 8:30 A.M. – 11:10 A.M.
First Friday of each month is early dismissal at 1:00 P.M.

Teachers are on duty before school at 8:10 A.M. Children should not arrive at school before that time. Teachers assume the responsibility for bus duty after school until all buses have left. Students should go directly home at dismissal time. Children returning to school for any reason after dismissal time should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Directions to the Campus
Porter Elementary school is located on Lindsay Road south of Southern and North of the 60 Freeway. Between Gilbert Road and Val Vista Dr.
Visitors on Campus
Anyone not a student or an employee of the district must register in the school office visitor book before doing any kind of business on the campus. No visitor, parents included, should ask a teacher to leave the classroom for conference or consult, no matter how brief. Appointments are appreciated and arranged to provide any visitor with uninterrupted time with the teacher or the principal. Friends and relatives may not spend classroom time with students. Arrangements for an on-campus lunch with a visiting relative can be made between the parent and the teacher.

We love our volunteers. There are many opportunities and areas to volunteer your time and talents. Please check with the office staff about enrolling in the volunteer program at Porter.
Change of Student Information
PLEASE IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE NURSE AND THE OFFICE OF ANY HOME, WORK, CELL, OR EMERGENCY PHONE NUMBER CHANGES ON YOUR CHILD'S EMERGENCY CARD.
