Education Experience

I graduated  Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Special Education.  I started working with Mesa Public school in 1993, teaching Pre-K.  While I raised my family, I was a substitute teacher in Mesa Public School for 15 years.  As a substitute teacher,  I  taught students at all age levels and ability levels.   I have been working in the SLLD program at Porter since 2011.

A Little Bit about Me

I was born in Nevada but I have also lived in Utah, Nebraska and Denmark. I love to learn about other places and people.  We are a multilingual family, I speak Danish and German, one daughter speaks Spanish,  another daughter speaks Bulgarian, and our son speaks French.

When Robert and I married in 1988,  we moved to Mesa.  I love living in Mesa.  All of our five children have attended Mesa Public Schools.  Our oldest daughter Jessica, graduate from ASU with a degree in Kinesiology, and has begun a post-bach nursing program.    Carson is attending community collage and playing Soccer.  Kira recently graduated from ASU in Meteorology / Climatology.  Ryan attends Red Mountain High School, and Sara will be attending Fremont Jr High.

As a family, when we are not busy with school and work, we love to explore Arizona by camping, boating, and quading.  I love to read, research the internet, and do "needle work" .
