Mrs. LeeAnna Woodward-Frisbie
I have been teaching for 16 years and all in Kindergarten. This is my fifth year in the Mesa School District. I am originally from Tucson and moved up here to become a Sun Devil. I graduated from ASU with my bachelors in Elementary Education and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on ESL.
I have a son who is 18, a daughter who is a Junior, a 5 year old son, 2 year old son and a very supportive husband. They are my pride and joy! When I am not doing class work I am usually cheering on my children in their many sports and other extracurricular activities or taking road trips.
This year Porter has become an AVID school. We are preparing our students even in Kindergarten to be collage and career ready. Each classroom in our school has adopted a College University to display and discuss with our students. Our classroom has adopted the University of Oregon. Go DUCKS! As part of an AVID community in Kindergarten we are also learning how to take notes. These notes are simple grade appropriate notes, but we are planting the seed. As Porter teachers we are working hard to get our students college and career ready!
