Porter Elementary School Map

Hello and Welcome to Porter.  My name is Nita Muth.  I am Secretary to the Principal at Porter Elementary.  My education is in Accounting but I decided when my children were small, to work close to home and be on their school schedule.  Working for the district gave me the opportunity to be with my children when they needed me most.

I began my career at MPS as a Special Education Instructional Assistant in 1992.  A job I truly loved.  After 2 years in the classroom, I moved into the Media Assistant position for 2 more years.  In January 1997 I accepted the Secretary to the Principal position.  A decision I have never regretted.  Working in the office is so rewarding because I have the privilege of working with teachers, parents and children.  Each day is different, boredom is NEVER a factor and laughter is a normal, everyday occurrence.  At the end of the day, I go home so thankful for the opportunities I've been given, for the people that make a difference in my life and full of hope that I made a difference in the life of a child or family at Porter.

My wonderful husband Ron and I have 2 married children, and 4 handsome grandsons and two beautiful granddaughters.

Again, Welcome to Porter!
