PAWS Agenda, Think Tank, and Re-Teach

We wanted to update you on a program that we are re-introducing to Poston’s Campus.  This program reinforces positive habits of arriving to class on time and being prepared for class. Students will be required to carry with them a planner that the school provides.  Each period, students check in with their teacher and receive a stamp in the “Yes” column. That stamp indicates that your student was in class on time, had their materials, and assignments completed.

If a student is late to class or does not have their materials, they will be assigned “Think Tank”.  If they do not have their assignments completed for class, then they will be assigned “Re-teach” with either their teacher or another teacher in that same department.

Both “Re-teach” and “Think Tank” are held after school from 3:55 to 4:25. Students will be given the opportunity to call home during the day when “Think Tank” or “Re-teach” is assigned.  If your student has another appointment and cannot attend on the day assigned, a parent or guardian must call the front office at 480-472-2100 to request that their student be reassigned to another day.  Please refer to our website at and look for the tab labeled “Parent Information” under the “More” tab in the top left-hand corner of the page. You may then reference the button labeled “PAWS Agenda” for more information about Re-Teach and Think Tank.

Online Re-enrollment for Returning Students

The re-enrollment process for the 2017-2018 school year has begun.  Parents and Guardians for returning MPS students will not receive the yellow registration packet.  Instead all returning students will need to be re-enrolled through the Parent Portal.  If you need additional guidance on how to complete this process, please view the district page at for information.  This process will need to be completed before your child may attend school.
