Career Center
The Poston Career Center is located in the back of the Media Center. Office hours begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
We work with Mesa Youth Placement Service, posting available jobs and forwarding applications for our students. Applications and job postings can be found in the Career Center or on the bulletin board in the Counseling hallway in the main building.
We receive and post a Scholarship bulletin monthly. Ninth grade students are eligible for many of the scholarships. Scholarship opportunities are available for seventh and eighth grade students as well. Current scholarship information is available daily in the Career Center. Students are welcome to come in and pick up any scholarship packet that might be of interest.
We also help students with career planning. They may use computers in the Media Center to access career planning websites as long as no other classes are scheduled to use the lab.
The Career Fair will be held March 13, 2008 during all three lunch periods. Representatives from local colleges, universities and businesses will be present to speak with interested students.
