I moved to Arizona in 2006 with my husband, and two children. I love it!
I've been married for 26 years to my best friend. He is patient, supportive and always makes me laugh. We like to do things outdoors. We both like to hike, go camping and take walks at sunset.
My eldest child is an artist who graduated from Dobson High and now lives in Washington to pursue his art degree. He is hearing impaired and together we have learned a few hundred words in American Sign Language. I incorporate hand movements in my classroom to improve memory through activating additional parts of the brain.

My youngest child is musically and mathematically talented. He composes his own music on the computer and sings barbershop for fun. He is in his second year at ASU this year with a double major in Economics and Music.
Both my children are creative, kind and fun to be around.
I started teaching in 1989 in the Los Angeles Unified School District which gave me a variety of experiences. I worked with populations in regular and special education classrooms, from kindergarten to high school. Most of my teaching has been in technology, establishing progressive and one of a kind technology programs for children and adults.
As a lifelong learner, I continue to challenge myself. After I moved to Arizona I added the K-8 Math Endorsement to my teaching certificate which led me to Poston. This is my third year at Poston Junior High and I'm excited to meet you and your family!
Contact me with any questions or concerns. I will respond to phone calls made Monday through Thursday within 24 hours. Most of the time, it is faster to email me.
