Achieve 3000 is an online reading program. It's also called Teenbiz. Students take a placement test, and then they are assigned reading selections at their individual reading level. Twice a week students go to the computer lab to do the program. Students must also do the program three times a week as homework. If students do not have computer access, they may come to my classroom or to the library before or after school. They may additionally get a lunch pass from me or the librarian to do it during lunch. Students have multiple tries to correctly answer questions; they are expected to earn at least an 80% on the selection. If they do not master the selection, they will practice locating the answer in the text so they can increase their comprehension. (Click on the links to access the site.)
