Ms. Lindsay Barnes
Lindsay Barnes received her Bachelors of Music Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho with an emphasis in cello. She also learned how to play all other string instruments, wind and brass, percussion, piano and voice. She is currently working on learning guitar and ukulele. While she enjoys learning all instruments, the cello continues to be her favorite.
Ms. Barnes began playing cello in elementary school and received over ten years of private instruction. She also took private voice lessons for several years and loves to participate in choirs whenever she has a chance. Lindsay began teaching private cello lessons as a junior in high school and currently maintains a private studio in the area. She enjoys performing with the East Valley Millennial Choirs and Orchestra, the Superstition String Quartet, and jamming with her music friends.
Although originally an Idaho girl, Ms. Barnes enjoys living and teaching in Mesa and is excited for her fifth year in the Mesa School District. In her spare time, Ms. Barnes enjoys hiking, roller blading, ropes courses, playing with her nieces and nephews, and spending time with friends.
