Welcome to the Poston Junior High School registration home page. Our hopes are that as you navigate the registration process for the 2013-2014 school year, you may be able to utilize the following information to answer some questions that may arise. We are eager to address any concerns that you may have along the way in order to make the transition to junior high as smooth as possible. Current 7th Grade Poston Panthers
The 2013-2014 registration process will be presented, and registration forms will be provided to returning Poston Panthers on Tuesday January 29, 2013. All completed registration information will be due to Social Studies teachers no later than Friday, February 8, 2013. If you require additional registration information, please visit the links below:
Incoming 7th Grade Poston Panthers
2013-2014 course registration information will be presented and registration forms will be provided to incoming seventh grade Poston Panthers on January 31, 2013 during "Step-Up" Day. All completed registration information will be due to 6th grade teachers no later than Friday Feb. 8, 2013. If you require additional registration information, please visit the links below:
Open Enrollment Students
Poston is currently accepting Open Enrollment forms for the 2013-2014 academic school year. Students interested in attending Poston under Open enrollment will need to complete an open enrollment form and return the competed form to Poston no later than Monday, February 28, 2013.
Students selected for open enrollment will be notified by mail and will receive their registration information along with their acceptance letter. Open enrollment acceptance notifications will also include information and dates regarding registration meetings to discuss the registration process for open enrollment students. We encourage students to register at their home schools as they await notification of their open enrollment status. Students who have received approval for open enrollment must reapply for the subsequent school year(s).

Students New to MPS
We look forward to having your student attend our school. To expedite the registration process, the following documents must be provided to our registrar please:
- Proof of Residency, such as utility or phone bill in your name with your permanent address
- Certified Copy of Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records
- Withdrawal Form from Previous School
- If possible, please supply a copy of your student's CURRENT report card and results from the AIMS, Iowa or Stanford assessments.
- If your student currently receives special education services, please bring a copy of the current IEP and psychoeducational report. If you do not supply a copy, we will request one from the previous school. However, we cannot begin providing services until we have received a copy of the IEP.
Registration packets must be completed and given to the Poston office with the documentation noted above.
