Year 3: PRI (Planning and Reflection in Instruction)
In this three-part module, we look at Mesa's Teacher Evaluation Instrument, Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching. Based on the New Teacher Center research on what third year teachers are ready to learn, we delve deeply into Questioning & Discussion Techniques (3b) as well Demonstrating Flexibility & Responsiveness (3e) within the classroom. Emphasis is on the areas of instructional design, instruction, and assessment. Using an on-going inquiry method of instruction, educators will have many opportunities to take a professional pause to collaborate, reflect on progress and identify goals. Teachers create a plan for implementing their new learning along with classroom follow up and data reflection.
