Providing Power Feedback - Arizona K12 Center

The Arizona K12 Center has a long reputation of providing quality professional learning opportunities for teachers. In the coming school year, we are venturing out and providing a learning opportunity designed specifically for principals and assistant principals.

Providing Power Feedback is a three-day series that explores the role of an instructional leader and the impact that is possible when differentiated feedback, understanding of skill and will, and actionable next steps are applied to engage in growth and reflection.

This virtual learning opportunity will be facilitated by Robyn Jackson, former teacher and middle school administrator. It will take place September 2, 23, and October 28, 2021. We have an early bird rate of $200 until July 1, 2021. After that the price will be $225. Each participant will receive a copy of Never Underestimate Your Teachers: Instructional Leadership for Excellence in Every Classroom. Attached you will find a flyer promoting this event.

We all know the powerful role principals play in retaining great teachers. We are hoping this learning opportunity will help administrators improve their skills as they help their teachers advance their practice. For more information and to register, please visit

Gear UP Summer Math Institute - Arizona K12 Center

The Arizona K12 Center is excited to be hosting GEAR UP Summer Math Institute online this June 28-30, featuring educators and authors Joseph Assof, Olivia Amador, and John SanGiovanni.

Through a partnership with Arizona GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs), this three-day event will specifically support middle and high school math teachers ready to enhance and strengthen their pre-algebra or algebra tools and instruction but math teachers of every grade level will find value in this event.

On Day 1, Assof will show participants how to design high-impact instruction so all students demonstrate more than a year’s worth of mathematics learning for a year spent in school. On Day 2, Amador will help participants align lessons, objectives, and outcomes of learning seamlessly, so that the classroom hours flow productively for everyone. On Day 3, SanGiovanni will teach participants how to value and harness the struggles that students experience and help them develop good habits of productive struggle.
