Biography

Kaleen Chase, born and raised in Arizona, received her education in the Mesa Public Schools.  As the daughter and niece of former Mesa Public Schools educators, her upbringing included values that promoted a love of learning and of a curious mind.

Formally educated at Arizona State University, she holds a B.A. in Elementary Education with certification to teach K-8. She also holds endorsements in both Early Childhood Education and Second Language Education.  Beyond her undergraduate degree, she holds a M.A.R. in Clinical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary and is certified  through the Arizona Department of Education as a guidance counselor for K-12.

She has taught for the Mesa Public Schools since 1985 in grades 1, 2, and 3 at Taft, MacArthur, Emerson, Jordan, and now is serving families and their children in the 3rd grade at Redbird Elementary School.

She enjoys volunteering in her church's children's program, antiquing, reading and, with great joy, the teaching of children.
