Welcome to my webpage! My name is Regina Melendrez and I am a fourth grade teacher in room E6.

Here's a little bit about me! I received my bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University and a master's degree from Northern Arizona University. I also have an Early Childhood Endorsement, an English as a Second Language Endorsement, and a Reading Specialist Endorsement. Needless to say, I love going to school and learning!!!

I am proud to say that I have been teaching with Mesa for many years now. I started off at Lowell Elementary where I taught second and third grade classes and was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to start an intermediate learning lab for  K - 6 reading intervention. Then I went to Emerson Elementary and started an intervention program for K - 6 grade students in the area of reading.  After that, I moved on to Salk and Sirrine to work as a MesaREADS reading coach. Now I am happy to be at Redbird where I've taught second grade for several years and am now enjoying fourth grade. This year is going to be the best year ever!

Please feel free to "stop by" for a classroom visit or contact me if you have any questions. Let's have a fantastic year!
