COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:

• MU05 MEN'S CHORUS - full year preferred - one semester ok 1/2 or 1 credit
  A performance-oriented course with continued emphasis on vocal music reading, correct vocal production, and performance. Basic fundamentals of music are stressed. This ensemble will prepare and perform concerts each semester, some of which may be other than during school hours. Uniforms or special concert attire are often required. No audition necessary.
• MU10 HIGHLIGHTS CHORUS – full year preferred – one semester ok 1/2 or 1 credit
  A performance-oriented course for the intermediate/advanced junior high female voice. Prior musical experience is preferred. Continued emphasis is on music reading, vocal production and performance. This ensemble will prepare and perform concerts each semester, some of which may be other than during school hours. May require special concert attire.
• MU12 CHORALE - MIXED - full year 1 credit
  MU12 is a performance oriented SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) chorus class for the advanced 8th and 9th grade student. Emphasis is placed on developing individual performing skills through solos, ensembles, and large group experiences. A wide range of musical styles and activities are included. This class often represents Rhodes off-campus. There will be required participation in public performances through the year. Placement is by audition. Uniform or special concert attire is often required.
