DESCRIPTIONS:

EL28
DRAMA/SPEECH - one semester 1/2 credit
This course is designed as an introductory class for
8th and 9th grade students of various acting abilities,
and provides many opportunities for theatrical experience.
Units range from improvisation, mass media, and music
videos to monologues, dialogues, and play-reading. No
previous experience necessary.

EL29
ADVANCED DRAMA - one and/or two semesters 1/2
or 1 credit
EL29 is an advanced class for students who want a more
detailed and in-depth study of theatre and acting. Units
include voice, stage movement, set design, monologues,
and dialogues, plus much more. This class is open only
to 9th grade students based on audition and/or previous
class performance. Prerequisite: EL28. Intro to Drama/
Speech. Teacher signature required – Ms .Parsons,
Rm. #95.
