Mrs. Dana Dix
I have been in education since 1991 and at Rhodes Jr. High since 2010. After graduating with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts from Winona State University in Minnesota, I started my career as a music teacher in South Dakota. I then moved back to MN and served as a band director at Winona Middle School and then Byron High School respectively. I completed a Master's of Education in 2004, graduating from St. Mary's University in MN.
In 2005 my husband and I decided to leave the frozen tundra and create a home in the beautiful desert and I was hired to teach band at Kino Jr. High.
In the spring of 2010, I was fortunate enough to be hired as the Title I Specialist at Rhodes Jr. High where I had the opportunity to learn from and to support the wonderful faculty.
In the spring of 2018 I was happy to accept a position back in the classroom working with students. I teach Basic Computers (CB02), which is a Mesa Public Schools curriculum requirement for all 7th graders. I also teach a variety of technology exploritory and career exploration sessions.
I look forward to working with my students and meeting their families!
