Mrs. Dana Dix
I have been in education since 1991 and at Rhodes Jr. High since 2011. After graduating with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts from Winona State University in Minnesota, I started my career as a music teacher in South Dakota. I then moved back to MN and served as a band director at Winona Middle School and then Byron High School respectively. I completed a Master's of Education in 2004, graduating from St. Mary's University in MN.
In 2005 my husband and I decided to leave the frozen tundra and create a home in the beautiful desert and I was hired to teach band at Kino Jr. High.
Throughout my career I have enjoyed working with other teachers and colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional practices that would best serve our students. Because of this work, I was asked to present several times on best practices and instructional support.
In the spring of 2011 I was fortunate enough to be hired as the Title I Specialist at Rhodes Jr. High where I have the opportunity to learn from and to support the wonderful faculty. I look forward to continuing to build relationships with the community and with all of the people here at Rhodes Jr. High.
