After graduating from Arizona State University in 2006, I began my teaching career with Tempe Elementary District. There, I taught fourth grade for six years, three of which I taught English as a second language. I decided to move to Mesa School District in 2012, where I had the opportunity to teach Spanish to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students at Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies. Following Mesa Academy, I began teaching sixth grade Reading at Lincoln Elementary. I am fortunate to continue on my path of teaching English Language Arts here at Rhodes Junior High. I hope that my experience and knowledge from previous years will help me help your students to be successful learners. I am looking forward to working with the staff, families and students here.

One of my greatest accomplishments is my family. My husband and I are proud parents to three beautiful children. My oldest will be attending Arizona State University, GO DEVILS!, and I have two younger children who also attend Mesa schools. We enjoy traveling, watching movies, and spending time at home with family and friends. One of my greatest influences was my high school Spanish teacher. I strive to make my classroom inviting, interesting, and motivating for all students. I look forward to helping your child be a successful, confident student and teaching your child the important skills needed to be lifelong learners.
