Mr. Mario Valle

My name is Mario Valle.  I attended Arizona State University and received my B.A. with an emphasis in Physical Education in 2009.  I spent my fist six years of my teacher career teaching elementary Physical Education in the Mesa Public School District.

I truly enjoy my job and I do believe that a quality physical education serves as a foundation for students to develop a good perception about the importance of physical activity in their lives.  It also helps students establish the concepts of health and wellness.  My goal as a P.E. teacher is to make my classes a fun experience for every student to help them develop self-confidence and to encourage them to continue to stay physically active through school and in their adult lives.

I am looking forward to a great year here at Rhodes Jr High.

Student Teacher Biography-Spring 2018

Hi, my name is Stephen Erickson!  Currently, I'm in my last semester of graduate school at Mary Lou Fulton Teacher's College for my Master of Physical Education degree with certification in K-12 Physical Education.  I am privileged to be a student teacher at Rhodes Junior High under the tutelage of my mentor teacher, Mario Valle.  I love teaching, mentoring, and inspiring kids to be lifelong physical activity consumers, morally sound citizens, and successful students!  When I'm not student teaching at Rhodes or at graduate school, I work for the Mesa Public Schools Community Education Department for their after-school program, Xplore.  I have been a K-6 Program Manager at Entz Elementary for several years and have enjoyed providing excellent instructional/recreational activities for kids to learn, grow, and have fun with!  In my free time, I thoroughly delight in reading a good book, playing disc golf, spending time with my family, and playing board/card games!  I look forward to equipping your child with the tools to become a lifelong physical activity consumer, being a positive role model, and providing opportunities for he or she to learn, grow, and be successful at Rhodes Junior High!
