Ms. Nicole Granese

Hello! My name is Nicole Granese and I am lucky to be teaching art to all 7th grade students on the MOTO and AIM teams. I am really looking forward to trying new ways of doing things along with students! In that spirit, I'd like class to function as an art studio for our kids. Students will learn how to use a variety of art media through projects that connect art with core content areas. My goal is to guide students through their discovery of all the amazing things they are capable of.

A little about me...
I received a B.A. in graphic design from Salem State University in Massachusetts and began my professional life in the design field. I also have a M.Ed. in secondary education from Arizona State University. The 2018-19 school year will be my 7th(!) year teaching art and my 2nd year here at Rhodes.

I am from the north shore of Boston, MA and moved to Arizona only 13 years ago, but oddly, it seems like a lifetime has passed. I live nearby in Mesa with my partner Greg and our dogs with a large size discrepancy, Tito (70 lbs) and Foof (15 lbs). In the wee hours of the morning, you may see me running solo or with my running buddy, Tito.

Though I am not pursuing any formal education opportunities right now, I am a forever student and take joy in discovering new things every day both big and small.
