Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
As one of the few schools in Arizona to receive supplemental funding from the Safe and Supportive Schools (S3) Grant, Riverview High School has been able to work towards implementing PBIS on our campus. PBIS is a framework that creates systematic and individualized strategies for achieving key social and learning outcomes while preventing problem behaviors. Riverview’s PBIS program is anchored in evidence-based academic and behavioral practices that facilitate these desired outcomes.
Everything we have put in place has been a collaborative effort of the Riverview PBIS and Core Leadership Teams. This has not been developed by an outside source. The students, staff, and parents will continue to align our goals and interventions with our students’ needs. Our PBIS curriculum is never set and will continue to change with our culture. Everyone plays a significant role in helping our students. If you are reading this, you are an integral part of this process.
