Growing up in Arizona I graduated from Corona Del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona in 2006. Immediately after graduating high school I decided that teaching was where I wanted to focus and chose to attend Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.

While I was studying at Northern Arizona I also taught English in Taiwan for one summer. I worked at two separate schools teaching students who's ages ranged from 4 to 14 basic grammar and conversational skills. It was invaluable experience and contributed to my development as a teacher. I completed my Bachelors Degree in History with an extended major in Secondary Education in the spring of 2010 at NAU, and immediately jumped into the professional world. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Community College and Leadership online through NAU and am about halfway done.

I was hired by Mesa Public Schools in July of 2010 to be the World History teacher at Taylor Junior High.  Unfortunately the teaching position was for only a year, but I enjoyed working at Taylor with the staff and students very much.

I was hired at Riverview the summer before the 2011 school year and I am teaching the Government, American History, Computer Repair, Current Issues, and Career Explorations for the high school as well as junior high sudents. I am extremely excited to be working here at Riverview and believe that the staff we have assembled is dedicated to student achievement and success not only in the classroom, but outside the school as well.
