Hola, my name is Alejandro Muñoz and I am honored to be your son's/daughter's Spanish teacher at Red Mountain. High School. I was born and raised in Southeast Arizona where I graduated from Douglas High School in 1985. I earned my Bachelors Degree from ASU and my Masters Degree from NAU. This is my 24th year teaching for Mesa Public Schools and my 14th at Red Mtn. I have taught at all three levels; elementary, junior high and high school, and I find teaching high school the most rewarding. In addition to teaching Spanish, I also coach basketball and have coached cross country, and track.
I come from a very large family (I am the 10th of 11 children) and I have always told myself I would have a small family. I am married and have a wonderful 18 year old daughter that attends the University of Arizona Honors College in Tucson. In addition to teaching I enjoy working on classic cars as well as woodworking. I also play on an "Old Man" basketball team that travels nationally to compete in tournaments.
I am looking forward to working with your son/daughter in reaching his/her full potential. I believe communication is the key to a great parent/teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 480-472-8140.
I am looking forward to another exciting year at Red Mountain.
