I've been a teacher for over 25 years.  During that time I've taught a wide variety of subjects including Business, Computer Explorations, Study Skills, Choral Music, Theater, Guitar, Bowling, and English.  I am a product of Mesa Public Schools, and although I'm proud to be a Mountain Lion, part of me will always be a Mustang.  I hold a Master's degree in Musical Theater Performance, and a Bachelor's degree in Education both from Arizona State University.

In addition to teaching a lot of different subjects, I've also lived a lot of different places.  I started teaching at Kingman High School in Kingman, AZ.  After that I moved to Tennessee where I spent a short while working as a professional entertainer. I returned to teaching in Safford, AZ before moving to Las Vegas, NV and finally landed back home in Mesa.

I met my wife while working at my first job in Kingman.  Our daughter is currently living in Tennessee, pursuing a career in the music industry as a singer/songwriter.

I've enjoyed great success as a teacher and have been honored with many awards.  My favorite occurred in 2011 when I received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities that allowed me to travel to Vienna, Austria for a month and study Mozart.  You can find out a lot more about me, and that trip, at my travel-blog,  Mozart & Me.  Just click on the picture of Mozart's grave.
