In this one semester course we will study the fundamental theories of microeconomics and macroeconomics. We also will study different investment options. The course will prepare students for introductory college business economics courses as well as understanding the basic operations of businesses.

This course is required for graduation. This course requires students to think analytically. The first six weeks are devoted to fundamental economic concepts such as scarcity, opportunity cost and supply and demand. The next six weeks focus primarily on micro-economic concepts as well as consumer economics. The last six weeks focus is macroeconomic fundamentals such as monetary and fiscal policy as well as inflation, employment and economic growth.
