Seniors, it's October and that means completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)!  Completing the FAFSA is the single most important step you can take towards paying for college - whether it's a two year, four year or any other kind of schooling. Seniors, it's October and that means completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)!  Completing the FAFSA is the single most important step you can take towards paying for college - whether it's a two year, four year or any other kind of schooling. Colleges want to see that you've completed the FAFSA in order to consider you for grants, loans and many scholarships.  So go to www.fafsa.ed.gov  to complete your FAFSA this month! College Application Day will be on today, October 31st during Senior's english classes.  College representatives from NAU, GCU, ASU and U of A and MCC will be here to help with your applications.  FAFSA workshop and Paying for College workshops also offered....

•The Fellowship of Christians Athletes or FCA, has its first meeting October 3rd and every other Tuesday after that during both lunches. It will be located in room 813 for A Lunch and room 823 for B Lunch. Come enjoy competition and free pizza with your fellow athletes. •Do you like to argue? Are you interested in a career in the justice system? Mrs. Bartlett is looking for interested students to start a “Teen Court” here at Red Mountain! It's a great program that helps teen offenders make smarter choices while educating them on the legal system. Please stop by Room 606 and see Mrs. Bartlett for more info. Physically Active Lions, or PAL, is a new lunchtime program here at Red Mountain where students will be able to participate in activities such as basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and more. PAL will be located in the  small gym during Lunch 4B (12:24 to 1:00) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This Thursday, the performing arts Department will open its Monologue Show, which will have showing from Thursday Night till Saturday Night starting at 7:00PM. Tickets in the bookstore. Ladies are you interested in playing volleyball in the off season, well we have the team for you. Interested in a career in the veterinary field as a vet, or vet tech.  Come sign up in college and career center in the Commons to come to a presentation by RMHS Alumni, Dr. Melinda Patterson with the Gilbert Veterinary Hospital.  Learn about a typical workday at a vet hospital and what certificates and degrees are required for a career in veterinary medicine.  Dr. Patterson will be in the Commons on Tuesday, Nov. 14th 2nd and 3rd periods. Ladies are you interested in playing volleyball in the off season, well we have the team for you. Speech and debate had a tournament at Mountain View last weekend.  There was a strong showing by several new competitors, but the highlight of the weekend was when Hallie Kimnach placed 5th in poetry interpretation. Congratulate her and the other members when you see them. Attention all girls volleyball players! Desert Valley Sports at Red Mountain we are looking for 15 through 18 year olds that want to play club volleyball. We have 2 open gyms this week at Shepherd Junior High Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Hope to see all of you there! Come see Coach Simmons in room 102 for more information. If you want to participate in the upcoming blood drive on Wednesday November 22nd see Mr. Erickson in room 404 to sign up....
