Physically Active Lions, or PAL, is a new lunchtime program here at Red Mountain where students will be able to participate in activities such as basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and more. PAL will be located in the  small gym during Lunch 4B (12:24 to 1:00) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This Thursday, the performing arts Department will open its Monologue Show, which will have showing from Thursday Night till Saturday Night starting at 7:00PM. Tickets in the bookstore. Ladies are you interested in playing volleyball in the off season, well we have the team for you. Interested in a career in the veterinary field as a vet, or vet tech.  Come sign up in college and career center in the Commons to come to a presentation by RMHS Alumni, Dr. Melinda Patterson with the Gilbert Veterinary Hospital.  Learn about a typical workday at a vet hospital and what certificates and degrees are required for a career in veterinary medicine.  Dr. Patterson will be in the Commons on Tuesday, Nov. 14th 2nd and 3rd periods. Speech and debate had a tournament at Mountain View last weekend.  There was a strong showing by several new competitors, but the highlight of the weekend was when Hallie Kimnach placed 5th in poetry interpretation. Congratulate her and the other members when you see them. Attention all girls volleyball players! Desert Valley Sports at Red Mountain we are looking for 15 through 18 year olds that want to play club volleyball. We have 2 open gyms this week at Shepherd Junior High Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Hope to see all of you there! Come see Coach Simmons in room 102 for more information. The next driving permit seminar class is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21st from 3:45 – 6:45pm.  The instructor will review Rules of the Road and administer the permit test. Passing students will receive Certificates of Completion to present to MVD for a driving permit. Registration forms are available in the bookstore. The cost is $25 online or $30 in the bookstore.  Students must be 15 years and 6 months of age by the date of the class and must bring their original birth certificate or passport plus student ID card to the bookstore when registering for the class.  This class has a maximum of 35 students, so don’t delay!
