What Does It Mean to Be a Digital Citizen?
According to Microsoft.com, "Digital citizenship is usually defined as the 'norms of behavior with regard to technology use.' It encompasses digital literacy, ethics, etiquette, online safety, norms, rights, culture and more."
In other words, a digital citizen is someone who knows how to handle himself/herself online. A true digital citizen knows that what is put online, stays online. There is a real need to understand the expectations schools, colleges, and employers have for how we handle ourselves in the cyber world. With that in mind, you will find resources on this page to help guide the choices you make online.
