Biography

Mr. Hamilton has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Northern Arizona University. He also has a Master of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University. Mr. Hamilton began teaching physical education & traffic safety at Red Mountain in 1994.

During his coaching tenure, Mr. Hamilton was a member of the football coaching staff during the 2000 & 2001 state championship seasons. In 2007, Mr. Hamilton was named the head boys golf coach. He guided the golf program to the 2010 & 2013 state championships.

Mr. Hamilton was an assistant coach on the 2006 state championship softball team and became the head coach the following season. Since 2007, Red Mountain's softball program has won four state championships. The 2013 squad finished the season with the #1 national ranking by Student Sports Fab 50, an extension of a national rankings program part of ESPN, Rivals.com, & Fox Sports.

Mr. Hamilton is a member of the Executive Board for the Arizona Softball Coaches Association. He also facilitates workshops for the Pacific Institute's Thought Patterns for High Performance. Mr. Hamilton's leadership has helped initiate innovative character-based programs within Red Mountain's athletic department. Initiatives such as ManUp & WOWFactor, a mentoring partnership with Arizona State University, was a key factor in Red Mountain earning the 2013 AIA Directors' Cup.
