Important Reminders

  • Semester Grade Breakdown: Q1=40%; Q2=40%; Final Exam=20%
  • NO late work on daily homework (English Dept. Policy)

  • Plagiarism and cheating are never acceptable.  Anyone caught copying an assignment  (from ANY other source, including copying from classmate’s study guides and/or letting another student copy from work to complete theirs) or cheating on a test will receive a ZERO. 

    a.   If you let another student copy your work then you  BOTH get a zero.

    b.   If you “work together” on an assignment, make sure your answers are worded uniquely and differently enough to reflect your personal input and to be above suspicion of cheating.

  • Students are responsible for getting their own missed work/ 
                 assignments for excused or SWEEP absences
  • Students who are placed in SWEEP are still responsible for turning
                in any assignments due that day and must check with the teacher
                on the SAME day for tests/quizzes or assignments given that day
  • A sweep absence does NOT count as an excused absence

  • Extra Credit options are set and posted in the classroom (last
               minute extra credit assignments/tasks, other than the ones
               posted, will not be provided for individual students) .  Occasional
               extra credit related to specific lessons or activities may be added
               as determined by the teacher.
