I am originally from Washington State, but I grew up in the outskirts of Tucson, AZ. Since I discovered the Harry Potter series in elementary school, my nose can always be found in a book. My passion for the written word led me to earn my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education at ASU Barrett. However, it was not until my sophomore year that I discovered my love of teaching. After tutoring disabled college students and teaching English as a foreign language to middle school students in South Korea, I added my teaching certificate and never looked back.

I am thrilled to begin my fifth year as a Mountain Lion! This year I will be teaching AP Language and Composition and Junior English.

In my spare time I can be found at a bookstore searching for a new novel or reading a well-loved book on my couch. A few of my favorite titles include: To Kill a Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice, and The Iliad. I love receiving book recommendations from students! I also enjoy traveling and experiencing other cultures, spending time with friends and family, and anything related to Harry Potter.
