 At RMRE your child will have physical education (P.E.) twice a week for 30 minutes each time. MPS uses the Pangrazi P.E. Program and have for over 25 years. This wonderful program is designed to incorporate four major areas:

  • Introductions (2-3 minutes): This is a time for kids to warm-up their muscles by doing locamotor skills, tag games, partner activities, etc.
  • Fitness (7-8 minutes): We work on abdominal strength, upper body strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance.
  • Lesson (12-15 minutes): A wide range of lessons are taught, such as: rythym, throwing and catching, parachute, beanbags, jump rope, and various sport skills.
  • Game (5-7 minutes): The game chosen for students coincides with the lesson taught during our P.E. time.

Safety is our number one concern for your child. Please make sure that your child has proper footwear on their designated P.E. days. Flip flop are not a good choice. However, sandals that have a supportive strap around the back of the foot and a rubber sole are OK. Tennis shoes are always the best choice for all the activities we do during P.E.

If your child is unable to participate in P.E. due to an illness or injury, please write a note or have a doctor's excuse notifying Mr. Wallace  and the nurse's office. Please contact Mr. Wallace with any questions you may have about RMRE P.E.
