Third Grade Battle of the Books Proceedures

* All books must be read by April 23rd for those who wish to be considered for competition.

* The teacher verifies the results for the AR quizzes.

* The top two readers are determined by number of books read. They represent the class. 
*  The alternate is the child who has read the third highest number of books.

IF there is a tie with the number of books read, the teacher will average the quiz grades and the two highest averages will be the class representatives and the third highest will be the class alternate.

IF there is still a tie, the tied students will  take a WRITTEN TEST on the Battle Books  books , admistered and corrected by Dr. Cook.  This test will be given on  Friday, April 30.  Representatives will be announced that day. 

* Battle of the Books is usually scheduled the week of May 10th, so there is time to study and practice  for the teams.
