Mrs. Sarah Collins
Welcome to a new school year RMRE families!
I am honored to be introducing myself as the principal at RMRE. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been dedicated to educating children for 20 years. The first 13 years were spent teaching students in grades 1 through 4. I then spent 4 years as a dean of an elementary school in the Kyrene School District. I graduated with my bachelor's degree from ASU (Go Devils!) and continued my education at NAU's Phoenix campus where I have earned 2 master's degrees. I am married to my husband, Phil and we have 2 boys, Tony (10th grade) and Brody (7th grade). We have three dogs, Little Dude, Sheila, and Clarice. We live in the southeast valley, which is where I was born and raised-- yes, I am a native! In my free time, you might find me bowling with my family, hiking in South Mountain, enjoying live music or hanging out with loved ones.
I am passionate about and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students. As a staff, we accomplish this by setting high academic and behavioral expectations for all children and by providing supportive systems to help every student achieve at high levels. I am confident that this will be an outstanding school year and look forward to working with the staff and community to continue the Red Mountain Ranch tradition of academic and personal excellence!
I eagerly anticipate meeting and getting to know each of you throughout the new school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
