Hello, and welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! If you are reading this, I am probably your child's 4th grade teacher, although I've been at Robson so long, I could probably have been your 4th grade teacher too! I look forward to an excellent year, and I hope to help to give your child the tools that he or she needs to be successful. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns. The best way to do that is to click on the link to e-mail me, but I also use the Remind app to send parent texts, and you can text me back in that app. I also appreciate the good old-fashioned note with the student.

It's harder than I thought to write one of these bios. If you don't believe me, just try it! (In fact, I was just telling Brad Pitt at the Academy Awards show the other night that I had to do it when Beyonce called my name for Best Everything in a Motion Picture.) Still reading? Good. That was fiction.

Here's what you should know about me. I went to Taft Elementary, Freemont Jr. High and Taylor Jr. High, and graduated from Mountain View High School. I have lived in Mesa since 4th grade, and I have two wonderful daughters and a cool husband who teaches 2nd grade in Phoenix! I love chocolate, cats, dogs, lions, squirrels, words, writing letters, glittery things, laughter, going to the movies, the ocean, and people who are nice to each other. I don't like excessive homework, Skittles, being hot, being misunderstood, and pens that skip.

We will be learning how to read higher level texts, take notes, multiply multi-digit numbers, divide, write opinion essays, capitalize and punctuate sentences, do science experiements, be kind to each other, ask for help, learn what it means to be a thoughtful citizen of our school and the world, and give our teacher endless quantities of Hershey bars, amongst countless other valuable and worthwhile things. More information will follow as needed, but I thank you for your involvement and all you do for your child. Remember to check back here for updates. Here's to a great year!
