Hello Pomeroy and Robson orchestra families! I miss seeing and teaching you!  We can get through this together! I hope that you are all doing well through this complicated time. If you need anything and believe that I may be able to help please feel free to contact me at  I would be happy to help in any way that I can.

If your student would like any enrichment activities, please go to the tab on the left side titled "School Closure Updates" There are activities for students with and without instruments. Also please feel free to contact me with any questions you or your student may have about the instrument during the school closures. You can contact me through e-mail, or you can call my school numbers and leave a message, that will forward to my e-mail, and I will be able to check your message and get back to you.

Students can practice any of our orchestra karate music!  Students can play out of their Essential Elements book or Concert Tunes for Beginning Strings.  6th graders: You have the Concert Tunes for Intermediate strings so explore that book for fun!

Your Essential Elements books should have a code on it. You can go to:

and put your code in to play along with the music that we play along with in class.

You can also have a home concert for your family!  Play your favorite pieces of music for your family.

Thank you everyone. Stay safe, and stay healthy. I look forward to teaching you very soon!

Please email me!  Because I am at two schools I will be able to respond quicker.  Thank you!

Hello!  I have been teaching for MPS since 1999 and have taught at the following schools:

Keller Elementary 1999-2008

Alma School Elementary 1999-2010

Robson Elementary 2010-2020

Roosevelt Elementary 2014-2019

I earned a bachelors degree in Music Education (Violin Major, piano Minor) from Marywood University in Scranton, PA in 1999 and then earned a masters degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University 2003.

I also have a full English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement and a Reading (K-12) endorsement.

I am married with two daughters (9 and 11 years old).  My girls love to take dance class, draw and play the cello!.   I own a Jack Russell terrier (Trixie) and a very mixed breed dog (Rocky).  When I am not teaching, I enjoy running with my dogs, energetic step aerobic classes, spin classes and strength training. LIfe is busy and that is the best way to be!

I am also a huge Broadway musical fan! I grew up going to NYC on the weekends with my mom and now take my girls to see a show when we have the opportunity.  I have several favorite musicals but the most recent musicals I have enjoyed seeing are:  King Kong, Aladdin, Once, Annie and Newsies.

I truly believe that every human is musical in some way.  You can be a violinist, a pianist, trombone player, or someone who just enjoys listening to or collecting music.  I am honored to be the teacher at Pomeroy and Robson giving our students the guidance on their musical journey.
