Principal's Message
Welcome to Roosevelt Elementary School

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Roosevelt School. Throughout the campus, our staff is caring and compassionate. They are very dedicated to serving your children's educational needs. We know that we have a partnership with you as you entrust your children to us for several hours each day. Please feel free to talk with the staff or with me about your child.

The instructional program of Roosevelt Elementary School is designed to help each student be successful. When a teacher receives a student, they consider where they are and where they need to go to accomplish academic goals. We follow the Arizona State Standards as well as standards set by Mesa Public Schools. We provide instruction that is meaningful, sound and encouraging.

We are all concerned about safety and about raising responsible, caring and happy children. Our "Make Your Day" citizenship program assists students in accepting responsibility for their behavior. We abide by one rule that says: "No one has the right to interfere with anyone's learning, safety or well-being."

We communicate with parents about the choices students make and hope that you will partner with us in making this a very positive experience for all.

We encourage you to take an active role in your children's learning. PTO and SIAC (School Improvement Advisory Council) meet monthly and can always use your help and insight. Research has proven that parents who take an active part in the activities at school find their own children will benefit greatly from the emotional and academic support they receive from the parent's participation.
